Fitness, teamwork and the pleasure of pulling together. Our gig section welcomes both recreational and competitive rowers on the River Teign and in coastal waters.
The club is a member of the Cornish Pilot Gig Association, with crews competing at South West regattas and the World Pilot Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly.
Our fleet includes wooden gigs Teign Spirit and Templer, alongside GRP gigs Nessie, Teign Grace and Salty. The name Salty was chosen by the junior rowing section.
New members are encouraged to get involved, develop their skills and enjoy the camaraderie that makes gig rowing special.
